Crown Chlorinated Rubber Paint is designed for type: a single pack, low build, chlorinated rubber based coating. It is formulated by Crown Paints for commercial and residential applications requiring high durability.
Crown Chlorinated Rubber Paint is suitable for application on properly prepared cement plaster, concrete, drywall, timber, or metal. All substrates must be structurally sound, dry, free of dust, grease, oil, and loose or flaking material prior to coating.
Use Mineral turpentine or manufacturer-recommended solvent thinner. For brush or roller application, thin only up to 5–10% by volume if necessary. For spray application, adjust according to spray equipment manufacturer instructions (typically 10–15%). Do not over-thin.
Crown Chlorinated Rubber Paint achieves touch dry in approximately 1–2 hours touch dry, and is ready for recoat after 4–6 hours under standard Kenyan ambient conditions (25°C, 50% RH). Drying will take longer in cold, damp, or poorly ventilated conditions.
The theoretical spreading rate is approximately 10–14 m² per litre per coat, depending on substrate porosity, texture, surface profile, and application loss. Two coats are generally recommended for optimal opacity and film build.
Yes, for fresh plaster, powdery masonry, bare metal, or unpainted timber, an appropriate primer or sealer must be applied first. Applying an appropriate primer ensures maximum adhesion, prevents suction, and prevents premature coating failure.
Crown Chlorinated Rubber Paint is commercially supplied in 1L, 4L. Pack availability may vary based on tint base and batch production.
