SikaTop® Seal-107 KE is a two-component, polymer-modified cementitious waterproofing slurry widely specified for concrete water tanks, basement retaining walls, balconies, terraces, and bathrooms. It requires mechanically mixing the liquid polymer and cement powder at low speed (500 rpm) into a lump-free slurry, applying in 2 coats onto a saturated surface dry (SSD) concrete substrate with cross-directional brush or trowel strokes.
A Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) substrate is concrete whose pores are fully saturated with water but has no standing water or puddles on the surface. If concrete is dry, it rapidly sucks water out of the newly mixed SikaTop slurry, causing flash drying, cracking, and poor adhesion. SSD allows polymer crystals to penetrate deep into the concrete capillary network for permanent hydraulic bonding.
Sikaflex® (such as Sikaflex®-11 FC and Sikaflex® PRO-3) is a moisture-curing polyurethane sealant engineered for high mechanical abrasion resistance, outstanding adhesion to unprimed concrete and masonry, and movement capability of ±25% to ±35%. Unlike acidic silicones that lose adhesion or degrade under mechanical wheel traffic and wet abrasion, Sikaflex cures to a tough, durable rubber that withstands hydrostatic pressure, foot traffic, and weathering.
